This was a hand me down, incase you’re wondering how I ever came to have something of this material in my possession. I’m not about to introduce terry-towelling as one of my wardrobe staples, but I will say that my aversion to it is now mostly gone, especially if it exists in cute tennis-dress-like shape.
I wore this to walk around Melbourne CBD on a hot (but unfortunately windy) day. Not only do I hate windy days just because they’re pointless and annoying & your hair flies around getting stuck in your lipgloss and making you look like a hot mess – the slit on the side of this dress thought it would be really awesome if every now & then it would lift up on one side & almost flash all the nice unsuspecting Melbournians.
It was not in fact awesome, so I spent a lot of the day doing the subtle holding-down-of-the-skirt trick.
Wardrobe malfunctions aside, this dress has such a sweet, cutesy vibe that I feel the need to rough it up a little to make it a little more me and a lot less me in a costume- usually with a spiked collar, but on this particular day only some mildly grungy boots. I guess since it was this dress’s first outing (on me, at least) it deserved to be allowed to carry itself alone.
….and on that note, I really need to st0p personifying my clothes.
If you for some reason feel the urge to keep up to date with whatever it is I’m currently wearing, consider following me on bloglovin, twitter or instagram.

I hate wardrobe malfunctions… I tend to stay away from clothing which is difficult to wear. I love this look, though. You look pretty in blue.
